Style Adventure: Merge Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

The short version: we run no servers, we have no accounts, we use no analytics, and your game progress never leaves your device. Two things do involve other people's software. Advertising: the game offers optional rewarded videos through Google AdMob, and Google's advertising software collects your IP address, how you interact with the ads and the app, diagnostic information, and device identifiers. Ads are never personalised, for anyone, at any age. Purchases: the game offers optional packs of Gems, and those are handled entirely by Google Play - we never see or receive a card number, and we are told only that a purchase succeeded.

1Who this policy is from

This game is developed and published by Nils Klavins, an individual developer based in Latvia. In this policy, "we" and "us" refer to that publisher, and "the game" refers to Style Adventure: Merge.

Questions about this policy can go to info@ragazis.com.

2What data is collected

We collect no personal data ourselves. The game never asks for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, location, contacts, or photos. There is no account to create and no way to log in. We operate no server that receives data from the game, so no information about you or your device reaches us at any point.

Google's advertising software does collect data. The game includes the Google Mobile Ads SDK so it can offer you optional rewarded video ads (see section 5). Google states that this software automatically collects and shares with Google:

Google uses this for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention, and states that it is encrypted in transit using TLS. This collection is performed by Google, not by us - we never see any of it, and we receive only anonymous, aggregate earnings totals in our AdMob account (for example, how many ads were watched in a day). Google's handling of this data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy, and you can read Google's own description of what its ad software collects in its Google Play data disclosure.

Please note when this happens: the ad software starts when the game starts and prepares a video in the background, so that a video is ready the moment you ask for one. This means the data above may be collected even if you never choose to watch an ad during that session.

Google Play handles purchases. The game offers optional packs of Gems (see section 6). Every part of a purchase - showing the price, taking payment, and confirming it - is performed by the Google Play Store app, not by the game. Google collects the payment and account information it needs to process the transaction, under its own privacy policy. What reaches the game is only Google's confirmation that a purchase of a given product completed, together with a transaction identifier we store on your device so a single purchase cannot be credited twice. We never see, receive, or store your name, billing address, card number, or any other payment detail. Our Google Play developer account shows us only anonymous, aggregate sales totals - for example, how many packs of a given size sold in a day.

Beyond this, nothing is collected. The game contains no analytics, attribution, crash-reporting, or social-network toolkit, and the Unity engine's own analytics, ads, and crash-reporting services are all switched off in the build. The engine's purchasing component is present only to speak to Google Play Billing, and reports nothing to Unity or to us.

3What the game stores on your device

So your progress is still there next time you play, the game writes one save file into its own private storage area on your device. That file holds only your in-game progress:

The Player ID is a random string created on your device the first time you play. It is not derived from your device, your hardware, or any account, and it is never transmitted anywhere. It exists so you can quote it to us if you write in for support about your save.

This file lives in the game's private app storage, which other apps cannot read. It never leaves your device. Uninstalling the game deletes it. You can also erase it at any time from inside the game under Settings → Reset Progress.

4Sharing pictures of your character

The game has a Share button that takes a picture of your dressed-up character and hands it to your device's standard Android share sheet, so you can send it to an app of your choosing.

This only happens when you tap Share yourself. The image is created on your device and passed directly to whichever app you pick - it is never uploaded to us, and we never see it. Once you choose an app to share into, what happens to that image is governed by that app's own privacy policy rather than this one.

5Advertising

The game is free, and rewarded video advertising is how it is paid for. We have deliberately kept advertising to the least intrusive form there is, and we have set it up so that it is as safe as possible for younger players.

What we do:

What we do not do: we do not build a profile of you, we do not track you across other apps or websites, we do not sell data, and we receive no personal information about you from Google.

6In-app purchases

The game offers optional packs of Gems for real money. Nothing in the game requires them: Gems are also earned by levelling up, completing orders, winning the daily contest, and watching rewarded videos, and the game can be played and finished without ever spending anything.

7Your ad choices and controls

Even though this game requests only non-personalised ads, Android gives you controls over advertising that apply across all of your apps:

8Children's privacy

This game is made for a general audience, and we expect children to play it. We designed it accordingly:

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, or if you have any other concern about your child's use of this game, please write to info@ragazis.com and we will act on it promptly.

9Your rights

Privacy laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you rights to access, correct, delete, export, and object to the processing of personal data held about you.

From us: we hold nothing about you. We receive no personal data from this game, so there is nothing on our side to access, correct, export, or delete. The only data the game creates is your local save file, and that is entirely under your control: erase it any time via Settings → Reset Progress, or by uninstalling the game.

From Google: the advertising data described in section 2, and the purchase and payment data described in sections 2 and 6, are collected and held by Google, which acts as its own data controller for them. To exercise your rights over that data, please use the controls in section 7 and the tools described in the Google Privacy Policy. We are happy to help point you in the right direction - just write to us - but we have no access to that data and cannot retrieve or delete it on your behalf.

If you are in the EU and believe your data has been handled improperly, you also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority. In Latvia that is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).

10Retention and security

We retain no data about you, so there is nothing for us to store or secure on your behalf. Your save file stays on your own device for as long as the game is installed, protected by Android's standard app sandboxing, which prevents other apps from reading it.

Advertising data is transmitted to Google over an encrypted TLS connection, and is retained by Google according to its own retention practices, described in the Google Privacy Policy.

11Third parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal data with anyone. The only third party that receives any data in connection with this game is Google, in the following ways:

Both are governed by the Google Privacy Policy rather than this one. The game is built with the Unity engine; because Unity's data-collecting services are disabled in this build, the engine sends neither us nor Unity any data about your play.

This website itself uses no cookies, no analytics, and no external fonts or scripts.

12Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a new "last updated" date. Significant changes - particularly any that introduce new data collection - will appear here before the version of the game making that change is released.
